Gili Shark Conservation
Gili Shark Conservation is a marine conservation program based on Gili Air that is working in conjunction with the NGO Gili Matra Bersama in order to help protect and restore the reef ecosystem within the Gili Matra Marine Recreational Reserve. They also are leading the movement to create the first recognized shark nursery ground in Indonesia by 2025.
The program has been using a range of research methods to in order to build the a database to actively encourage greater conservation of sea turtles, sharks and the wider coral reef ecosystem since 2015.

Research Assistant Program
The program operates all year round, running for a minimum of 2 weeks, but on average, people stay between 3-8 weeks.
Packages include accommodation, in-country transport, breakfast on project days and access to a communal kitchen.
