Conservation Diver Grant Program: Empowering Our Instructors
We are excited to announce our $1,000 grant program to support Conservation Diver instructors in expanding their impact, enhancing their programs, and contributing to marine conservation in meaningful ways. This grant is designed to provide resources for projects, training, and travel that enrich both instructors and their programs while fostering collaboration across our global network.
What Can the Grant Be Used For?
The grant is intended to help instructors:
- Projects: Develop or enhance conservation initiatives or research at your center.
- Training and Certifications: Acquire additional certifications or training to expand your expertise and course offerings.
- Travel: Visit one of our partner centers to dive, network, and collaborate, exchanging ideas and gaining new perspectives to bring back to your own center.
How to Apply
The grant application is simple and flexible to accommodate your busy schedules. To apply, submit a document to [email protected] that includes the following:
- What Will the Funds Be Used For? A one- to two-sentence statement summarizing the purpose of the grant.
- Background: Provide as much detail as needed to justify the need.
- Details on Usage: Explain how the funds will be used (e.g., specific training programs, materials for a project, travel costs, etc.).
- Benefits:
- Describe how the grant will contribute to your triple bottom line (financial, environmental, and social impacts).
- This can be a few sentences or bullet points.
- Timeline: Include a timeline for your project, training, or travel.
- Other Relevant Information (Optional): Add any other details you feel will help us understand your proposal.
Important Dates and Requirements
- Deadline for Applications: February 28th, 2025
- Grant Period: Travel or projects funded by this grant must take place within the next 9 months.
- Eligibility: Applicants must be currently teaching Conservation Diver courses and renewed for 2025.
